On Sunday, Amazon rolled out a new service, Prime Video, that will give Netflix – their largest competitor – a run for their money. The company launched a new, independent service that will allow their users to sign up only for their Prime Video services all for a competitively priced monthly fee of just $8.99.
While Netflix’s lowest plan is $7.99 per month and lacks HD video streaming, their more popular package is $9.99 per month. Amazon Prime Video, competitively priced allows users to not only watch unlimited videos, but to download shows for offline viewing as well. Hello, road trip with kids! Score Mom and Dad!
Note that with Prime Video for $8.99 per month you do not get the coveted FREE 2-day shipping, but if you would like to try out the full Prime benefits including Prime Video, FREE 2-Day shipping, borrow Kindle books and more, you can sign up for a FREE 30-day trial of the whole shebang.
Amazon has also decided to offer FULL Prime benefits on a month-to-month basis for just $10.99. This includes Prime Video and the shipping and all that jazz! Worth it to me! Try it and don’t like it? Turn it off and you’ll not be charged again.
• FREE 30-Day Trial of Showtime
