I’m big into savings apps. I’ve got ibotta (my all time favorite!), MobiSave (a close second), Checkout51, Find and Save (my referral code is CFNL, feel free to share yours in the comments!), Snap!, SavingStar and various other store apps/gas station apps for the rewards and coupons.
One of the very first apps I ever downloaded? Shopkick. This guy has been around for years and years, and is one of my favorite ways to quickly rack up points to redeem for gift cards. I always choose Target or Walmart gift cards, and I have earned (and redeemed!) nearly 29,000 kicks – the equivalent of well over $100 in Target/Walmart gift cards!
How it works:
We get kicks for opening the app when we walk in to certain stores. Just open the app when you go to Target, Walmart, Best Buy, all kinds of stores, and you will get your bonus kicks if available. You also earn kicks for scanning products listed in the app. Simply scanning the bar code on the product!
This is where my kiddos come into play. 🙂
I do my coupon shopping while my kids hunt down the items (in the same department of course, I don’t let them run around unsupervised 😉 ) and do the scanning. This has turned into quite the game and it helps to keep them occupied while I try and do math in my head. Ha!!
You can also link your debit and/or credit card for additional kicks back, and you can get BONUS kicks for purchases made a select retailers. Double score!
You can sign up and download Shopkick here.
