The crocodile stitch…  Perfect for mermaid tails, coin purses, slippers… and now gloves!

Two adult sizes are available for this pattern, although you could easily alter it further if you wish.

The main pattern will fit medium/large adult wrists (7″ or larger) and the other portion of the pattern is for smaller wrists (less than 7”). Instructions are also given to make the pattern in child size or XL adult size.

Yarn size plays a prominent role in this pattern. You will want to use a size 3 for best results, I used Baby Bee from Hobby Lobby, about one skein.  I purchased two skeins because I wanted to be able to control the colors.

Tried three times but my stitch count was always off. I can not see where I am making the mistake. The pattern is confusing, almost like it is missing some steps.

I’m sorry you are having issues. I have not had any other complaints, but I would like to make sure these worked up okay for you. What parts are not adding up correctly?

These came out beautifully! The finished product looks much cleaner and less bulky than a lot of the other patterns I’ve seen for crocodile stitch gloves. I would like to note, however, that this is not a pattern for complete beginners. It is helpful to know how to work in a round, and have a firm enough grasp on crocheting to be able to figure out/improvise the pieces that may be a little less clear. Overall, I had a great time making these and they look amazing! Thanks for the pattern!
