Apple Crumble Recipe
6 apples – any variety
2 tbs sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 c brown sugar
3/4 c old fashioned oats
3/4 c flour
1/2 c cold butter, cubed
Time saver tip: Peel the apples with a potato peeler, then use an apple slicer to cut the apples into 8 slices. Then cut each of those slices into 3 small perfect size slices!
Preheat the oven to 350°. Peel, core, and slice all of the apples. In a bowl mix apple slices with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 tbs of sugar. Place apples in a greased 9 x 9 baking dish. In a bowl, mix remaining cinnamon, flour, oats, and brown sugar.
Using a pastry knife or fork, mix in the cubed butter until the pieces are pea size or smaller. This should take about a minute or 2. You should have a nice crumbly mixture when you’re done. Spread the topping evenly over the apples. Bake for 30 mins.
The top should be golden brown and crispy. Enjoy!
