Do you subscribe to a monthly crochet box or club? I absolutely love mine! Today we will take a look at the Caring Crochet Kit Club from one of the best on the block: Annie’s.

Annie’s Crochet Kit Clubs

When asked if I would participate in one of this month’s crochet kits from Annie’s, I jumped at the chance. I chose the Caring Crochet Club, because I love the idea that I am not only helping a ministry or charity, but I get to do so through my love of crochet. ♥

There are literally dozens of yarn box subscription options available. The Annie’s Caring Club kit is a monthly kit club that features a new design every month. Once per month members receive a box in the mail containing yarn, a pattern, and an address to which to send the completed project.

This month’s pattern is much larger than I was expecting – a full shawl! – and I love their color choices. Use the included pattern to make the project of the month, then send the donation card along with your handmade gift to the address provided in your kit.

Even better, go through this link for your first box and 50% off will automatically be applied at checkout. In fact, choose any of the Annie’s Kits you like from the drop-down menu (Caring Crochet, Crochet Afghan, Crochet Striped Afghan, Hook & Needle, … among others) and the first month will be half price. That means your first month is only $9.99 + shipping – and the yarn alone is worth that!

Wanna save this for later?

We'll email this post to you, so you can come back to it when you're ready.

Some months you’ll make a shawl like this, some months the projects will be smaller such as chemo caps for cancer patients, or blankets for seriously ill and traumatized children. Each month your project will be passed along to a person in need. I can’t think of a better way to pay it forward with crochet than that!

When I complete this shawl I will add an updated photo to this post, and I will share with you in the Heart Hook Home Crochet Community on Facebook.

  1. I love Annie’s Crochet Clubs! I was in the hospital 3 years ago and got an email. I hadn’t crocheted since the 70s. I immediately ordered a Striped Afghan Kit and a Block Afghan Kit. It was like riding a bicycle and I never looked back. I’m working on another kit now Dublin Blanket. I design a lot of my blankets and YES gotta a closet full of yarn lol. I’m doing your Tunisian CAL and have 4-6 WIP going all the time. I’m retired (73) and worked since I was 13 so can’t just sit still. Crochet is so relaxing and keeps your brain busy. I’ve completed Squares 1 & 2 - 3 was throwing me issues after row 4 but got it now . Can’t wait for #4
  2. I can't wait to get my kit. I'm doing the Mandela and I can't wait it is so beautiful I just hope I can make it.
  3. I get quite a bit from Annie Kit Club. The striped ones the block to block the hooks and Needles and another ones. I love these kits. Can’t get enough. Thank you
  4. I am doing the floating lanterns. I am fed up. She says one thing, such as single crochet in the next 3 half double crochet and then puts a single crochet in the front post treble. I have frogged the entire first 9 rounds 5 times now. On the 9th round or so she is still telling you how to make the stitch, double crochet even though it made up alternating rounds with half double crochet rounds to this point, with one single crochet round thrown in. By the 9th round if you don't know how to make the stitch, try knitting. What I need to know and see is where where the stitches go. Thinking of canceling.
    1. I'm glad I came across this review. I ordered this kit and am still waiting on it. Hope I didn't sign up for something I can't handle.
  5. I am currently doing the striped afghan but I have also ordered the Tunisian afghan kit and cannot wait to get it. I will have to check out the Caring Kits. Thanks for the article.
  6. I love Annie's kits clubs. I think the yarn is great and I love the texture of the yarn. The clubs are the best
  7. A neighbour asked me to crochet the two teddy bears. There was not enough of the dark yarn so I had to use some remnants . Quite disappointing. My neighbour had a heart attack and can't use her one arm so I was doing it for her for Christmas presents. Just want to let you know. Thanks. I did like the yarn though.
  8. I'm currently doing their striped Afghan club. And I did the charity club for a few months. Really nice quality yarn and the patterns are great.
