When I saw this Fable Fur yarn from WeCrochet, I knew it had to be an infinity scarf. This yarn is so thick and so plush, and super warm for winter! This free crochet pattern is perfect for the person in your life that is always cold.

Fur-Ever Fur Infinity Scarf

This infinity scarf uses just over two skeins of the delicious Fable Fur, or about 150 yards. This means you should have enough left from the third skein to make a matching ear warmer. Find the free pattern for the fur infinity scarf below.

I love this pattern so much I decided to design a matching ear warmer and cowl set. It’s crazy to me that of all of the things I’ve crocheted this is one of the things I use more than anything else. I keep the ear warmer in the glove box of my car for those morning walks when it’s a bit too chilly.

I loved this faux fur yarn so much I ordered nine more skeins. What will it be? UPDATE: It’s finished!

Do you see how thick that yarn is?! I love it!! This beautiful fur scarf is only eight stitches wide, which means that it works up SUPER quickly! I love the way it crosses in the front with just one flip of the scarf before you sew.

Materials:

Knit Picks Fable Fur (Super Bulky, #6)
-approx. 152 yards (Kuma colorway pictured)

Crochet hook in size L/8mm

Gauge:

7 sts x 5.5 rows = 4″ square

Pattern Notes:

Ch-2 at beginning of each row does not count as a stitch.

Dimensions: 4.5” x 70” (before sewing)

INFINITY SCARF pattern:

Row 1: Ch-10, hdc in 3rd chain from hook and in each ch to end. (8)

Rows 2-90: Ch-2, turn. Working between the posts of the previous row’s sts, hdc across, placing your last hdc in the beg ch-2 space. (8)

Construction:

Lay scarf out flat and sew end to end, stitch for stitch. If you like, flip one end over to give the fur infinity scarf one twist. I think it lays nicer when worn and gives more character than just sewing a straight up oval. Of course, flipping is not necessary.

Either way the scarf will be beautiful, and I can’t wait to see yours! Share a photo of yours with me by tagging @HeartHookHome on Twitter and Instagram, or share in the Heart Hook Home Crochet Community on Facebook!

  1. I made this last year. I had never worn an infinity scarf either but I sure wear this one! I love it. It was unusually cold here, wind chill of 8 degrees, (I’m visiting Austin) and it kept my neck and ears warm, even in the wind! Thanks for the pattern Ashlea and your extra instructions on working with faux fur yarn.
  2. Quick, easy and beautiful. I put markers at the end and beginning of every row to keep my place. Thank you so much for this pattern
  3. Can you give the measured length/width of the finished piece before sewing? approximate would be fine. since it is hard to count (see) rows i was thinking i would just work to the measurements. Thanks! :)
  4. OMGOODNESS!!! GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!!! I DON'T wear these but would LOVE to try this pattern. Looks BEAUTIFUL on you Ashlea
