These crocheted patriotic mason jar covers work up super fast. You’ll only need red, white and blue yarn and crochet hooks in sizes I and G. Grab your yarn, hooks and hot glue gun and get ready for action.

Materials:

Crochet Hook – size I
Crochet Hook – size G
Red, white and blue worsted weight yarn (Red Heart Super Saver works great for these!)
Upholstery Needle
3 – Pint sized Mason Jars
Hot glue gun (unless you want to sew on the stars)

Stitches used: Double crochet, Half double crochet, Single crochet. For help reading a crochet pattern and terms used, take a look at this post. I highly recommend changes colors like this, so that your seams aren’t as noticeable where you changed the colors.

Crochet Mason Jar Covers for 4th of July

Make as many stars as you like using this pattern and white yarn. Note that if you’d like the stars to be a little smaller (so you can add more of them) you could use a thinner yarn and a smaller crochet hook. I wanted LOTS of stars so I used Loops & Threads Woolike with a size D crochet hook.

Strategically add the stars to the blue patriotic mason jar cover using your hot glue gun. Unless, that is, you’d like to sew them on with your yarn needle instead.
