Fall is when I really start thinking of all of the gifts I need to make for loved ones this holiday season. When thinking of the men in my life I knew I needed a stylish, quick scarf pattern. Throw in a matching beanie and you’ve got a great gift!

Andy’s Scarf & Beanie Crochet Pattern Set

I’ve been sitting on this gorgeous Wool of the Andes Bulky yarn for months and months, and I finally found the perfect thing! Because we’re using Wool of the Andes yarn I decided to call this set the “Andy’s” set. Ha!

When thinking of crocheting quick gifts, many times the answer can include using bulky weight yarns with a larger crochet hook. I personally love crocheting with thicker yarns and larger hooks. Not only does it work up quickly, these types of projects tend to use not much yarn as well. Excellent!

For this set we are using Wool of the Andes Bulky yarn. This is a gorgeous 100% Peruvian Highland Wool that will keep him super warm and stylish too!

Other great yarn options would be any bulky weight yarn including Brava Bulky, Swish Bulky, or Lion Brand Hue + Me.

Make one of these items or both! If you have two hanks of each color you could do the men’s scarf, the men’s beanie, AND still have enough yarn to make the matching cowl for yourself with the left overs. Sweet!

  1. Hi! Could this be made using two strands of worsted weight yarn together, or would that end up being to thick? Love your patterns!
    1. Hi Sofia! Ehhh...you could...but it would be pretty dense. I think 2 strands of DK/#3 would be better.
