If you are looking for one of the easiest slouchy beanie crochet patterns you can make, this is it! This slouch is classy, it’s got just a bit of texture, and is super easy to crochet. All you need to know is how to make the single crochet and the double crochet!
Bricktown Slouch
Beanies that are worked as one rectangle and seamed are excellent for beginners. Instead of hoping that a top-down beanie will match gauge and come out the correct size, you can measure as you go to make sure that you are on track per the pattern. See the sizing chart below to make sure yours matches mine.
For the darker beanie I used the rest of the massive Brava 500 skein left over from making the updated version of my Easy Peasy pullover. How awesome is that?!

Finishing:
Fasten off leaving a super long tail.
Line up first row to last row and sew using the Mattress Stitch. (You can also slip stitch the ends together, but I think Mattress Stitch looks cleaner).
When you reach the top, feed yarn needle through the ends of the rows, cinching up as you go. Weave in all ends and you are almost finished!
Brim:
Attach at bottom seam.
Round 1: Hdc (33, 37, 41, 49, 49, 53, 57) times around. (One stitch per each row end) Do not join, work in a spiral for remainder of pattern.
Rounds 2 – (3, 3, 3, 4, 5, 5, 5): Hdc in third loop around. (tutorial here) (33, 37, 41, 49, 49, 53, 57)
Round (4, 4, 4, 5, 6, 6, 6): Sc in third loop of each st around. (33, 37, 41, 49, 49, 53, 57)
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
