Feels Like Fall Houndstooth Accessories Set
For these patterns we are using the Houndstooth Stitch. When I made the Houndstooth Vest crochet pattern earlier this year, I fell in love with this stitch, particularly when crocheted in rounds, joined and turned. Because of the nature of this stitch, there can be a lot of color changes and yarn tails to weave in. But, because of how we construct these rows, that factor is eliminated. No extra ends to weave in, and no yarn strands to crochet over, just gorgeous crochet stitches. SWEET!
Each of the FIVE patterns included in this set is worked in rounds. If you can make the Lemon Peel stitch (consisting of just single crochets and double crochets) you can make any of these accessory patterns. ♥
I used some worsted weight yarn from my stash that I picked up on a sale. I had plenty of yarn in complimenting colorways so I just kept crocheting new things until I ran out of ideas. Great yarn choices for this set would be virtually any worsted weight yarn. This could include Brava Worsted, Big Twist Value yarn, Red Heart Super Saver, Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice, and Bernat Value among others.
