My boys would live off of pizza rolls if I let them.  Since I can’t pronounce half of the ingredients in store-bought pizza rolls, I prefer to make them at home – for about the same price. My favorite part? We can add hidden vegetables to the sauce so they never know. 😉  Hidden carrots? Check! Hidden zucchini? Check! Add whatever vegetables you’d like and watch your kids (and yourself!) chow down.

Homemade (Baked) Pizza Rolls

Homemade Pizza Rolls

12 oz Pizza sauce
8 oz Pepperoni, cubed
8 oz Mozzarella cheese, shredded
24 Wonton wrappers
Garlic (optional)
Mushrooms (optional)
**any other hidden vegetables (optional)

Preheat oven to 375°. In mixing bowl mix pizza sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese and anything else you’d like (garlic, mushrooms, pureed carrots etc) together. Spray baking sheet with non-stick spray, lay out wonton wrappers.

Homemade (Baked) Pizza Rolls

Spoon about a teaspoon onto each square, being careful not to dab so much so that you can’t close the wrapper without sauce squeezing out. Wet your fingers and run around the edges of the wanton wrapper. Fold over and press to seal wrapper shut.

Continue adding mixture to wrappers until you run out of sauce. Place wrappers about 1” apart and spray tops lightly with cooking spray. Bake for 13 minutes and check. Remove from oven when golden brown and crispy.

Let cool and enjoy!  I love how quick and easy these are, and how delicious!

Could you freeze these pizza rolls if you did a bunch in advance and would you bake them first or freeze until ready to bake off. My grandson loves pizza rolls but I would like to control what goes into his food because he has autisum. Thank you for you recipes...
