Thai Sweet Chili Glazed Fried Cauliflower

I just love cauliflower. Not only is it high in fiber, packed with B-vitamins and cancer preventing antioxidants, but it’s also incredibly tasty. This versatile vegetable can be prepared in countless yummy ways and this Thai Sweet Chili Fried Cauliflower recipe is the best!
Thai Sweet Chili Fried Cauliflower
This quick and easy recipe is sure to turn heads and wake up those taste buds. With just a few simple ingredients we’ll take some ordinary cauliflower and turn it into something sweet, spicy, and absolutely delicious.
Fried Cauliflower Ingredients:
- Cauliflower (approx. 1/2 a head)
- 1/2 cup of flour
- 1/4 cup roasted garlic breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Japanese style panko breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 6 oz. sweet chili sauce
- 1 thinly sliced green onion
- 1/4 tsp sesame seeds
- 1/4 red pepper flakes (optional)
- salt & pepper (to taste)
- 3 gallon-sized storage/freezer bags or containers with lids
Recipe:
Add a couple tablespoons of the flour to gallon size bag/container and set aside.
Take your cauliflower and cut it into medium size florets. Rinse the florets with water and place in gallon sized bag/container containing the flour. Seal bag and shake until cauliflower is evenly coated with flour.
Beat eggs and add to second bag/container. Add cauliflower to egg mixture. Seal and shake.
Meanwhile add the remaining flour, roasted garlic breadcrumbs, panko, and a little salt and pepper to the other bag/container. Return cauliflower to the bag/container with the flour mixture adding a few pieces at a time. Shake until the pieces are evenly coated.
Deep fry at 400° until golden brown. Place cooked cauliflower into third container and add the sweet chili sauce. Add lid to container and lightly shake until sauce is evenly coating the cauliflower.
Garnish with thinly sliced green onion and sesame seeds. For a little extra heat sprinkle on a few red pepper flakes. Enjoy!
