I’m not typically a big Chinese or Thai food person, so when I agree to a new recipe my husband Paul gets so excited – he LOVES it. We tried this Teriyaki Chicken with honey and sesame seeds and it was delish! We added grilled pineapple for an extra pop.

This teriyaki chicken took about 20 minutes from beginning to dinner table. It was easy, quick, and ALL of my boys cleaned their plates! This is a great dinner to have on a ball night this summer…quick, easy and YUMMY!

Ingredients:

  • 1.5lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/3 cup honey or agave nectar
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • pineapples

Directions:

Cut chicken into 1 inch pieces.  Combine chicken, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well in bowl.

Transfer everything in bowl into an oiled, hot pan. Place on medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn heat up to high and cook until sauce has mostly reduced. This takes about 10 minutes. After sauce thickens, add sesame seeds to coat chicken.

Remove from heat, let sit for 5 minutes.  We served over white sticky rice and it was both filling and delish!

  6. I made this and it was good. Next time tho I may make my own teriyaki sauce. I used kilkkoman teriyaki marinade and sauce and wonder if I should have used another sauce. I will. Make it again as it was fast to prepare. Thanks Paul
