If you like fried mushrooms, you’ll love this recipe. These guys have the perfect amount of crunch and just the right seasonings to make you not even want the ranch. Every time Aldi has a sale on mushrooms (their produce deals always rock) we buy several cartons and use them for all sorts of things; this is just one of our favorites.

Perfect for football or a get together, with whatever dipping sauce you choose – or not. My 7 year old tells me these are better without the ranch. Alright then! Carry on…

Fabulous Fried Mushrooms

2 8 oz pkgs of Mushrooms
1 C flour
1/2 C Italian Style Breadcrumbs
1 Tbsp Seasoned Salt
1/2 Tbsp Garlic Salt
1/2 Tbsp Black Pepper
2-3 eggs (slightly beaten)

Wash mushrooms and pat dry with paper towel. Put 1/2 cup flour into a gallon size bag and add mushrooms. Close and shake until the mushrooms are coated with the flour. In a separate container, mix 1/2 cup flour and the Italian breadcrumbs. Add in the seasonings: garlic salt, seasoned salt and pepper. In a separate boil, lightly beat the eggs.

Take a floured mushroom, dip it in the egg-wash, then roll it in the breadcrumb mix. Add to 375 ° deep fryer (or large skillet with hot oil) and cook until golden brown. Dip in Ranch dressing and enjoy!!
