The Miguel Blanket Crochet Pattern

My god-sister recently welcomed her first child, Miguel. He’s adorable with a head full of hair and the sweetest little face. To celebrate, I designed this blanket for his crib and to love on as he grows.

The Miguel blanket pattern is written in a whopping NINE sizes, spanning doll size through king size. See a size chart below to determine the size you need to make. It would be super cute to make a doll size AND the toddler size for a unique and fun toddler birthday gift!

For this pattern I am using Brava Baby, a wonderfully soft #3 weight acrylic yarn that is perfect for all things baby related. You could substitute Brava Recycle, Mellowspun, or Bernat Softee Cotton for a more durable baby blanket.

If you want to use a worsted weight acrylic that is fine too, just keep in mind that since the yarn is a bit thicker, the blanket will be slightly larger than the sizing chart below. What size will you make yours? Let’s get started!
