Do you go on walks outside with your significant other? Perhaps there’s a bit of a chill in the air and you could really use a pair of gloves to keep your hands warm, but you also love to hold hands while you’re waiting for the doggo to do the deed. Now you can do both, using this free couples mittens crochet pattern in several sizes!
Free Couples Mittens Crochet Pattern
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and this set of couples mittens crochets up so fast you could make them as a gag gift, or for the couple that just can’t keep their hands to themselves. Tell them to “Get a room!” – or to – “Share a mitten!” 🤣🧤 Available in several sizes to fit just about any pair of couple’s hands.
It even looks like a heart! ♥
The weather here has been absolutely frigid lately so I haven’t been able to go on my daily walks at the park. When I went to my local recreation center to pay for a month-long subscription to get me through to the nicer weather, I discovered that my little city here in Kansas has an agreement with the center that if patrons are ONLY walking (not using the stationary bikes, treadmills, weights, pool, etc) then we can use the indoor track for free. How nice is that? I prefer walking outside in the brisk morning air to get the day started, but when temps are in the single digits or teens… I very much appreciate the cooperation with the city to let us use their indoor track!
All this to say… that there is the cutest couple that walks the track several times a week, hand-in-hand. They are so sweet with each other, and I always find myself looking for them on my walks. I’m assuming that if they hold hands while they exercise that they hold hands all the time, so I whipped up a pair of couples mittens that I plan to present to them next time I bump into them on the track. And this is how my couples mittens crochet pattern was born!
This Valentine’s Day, make a pair of couples mittens using this mix-or-match sized free crochet pattern. Make two small mittens with one couple. Make one small mitten and one large mitten with one couple. Make two large mittens with one couple, etc.
