In the Heart Hook Home Crochet Community group we share photos of our current WIPs (work in process), let out our crochet frustrations and woes (to people that UNDERSTAND!), we lament our yarn barf, share killer craft store coupons and supplies sales, we take pride in and show off our HOTH (hot off the hook) projects, we ask each other for yarn/crochet advice and we bring our own experience to the table. We share photos of happy customers (sometimes masquerading as our very own spouses or children), and we fill our minds with everything that only fellow crochet enthusiasts will understand. YOU ARE MY PEOPLE!!! ♥

Heart Hook Crochet Community Vinyl Decals

When I started Heart Hook Home Crochet Community less than a year ago I had NO IDEA it would blow up like it has – and so quickly! ♥ We now are pushing 50,000 members strong and this group has literally taken over my Facebook feed. Which, to be honest, is pretty okay with me lately.

I’ve said it before and I’ll never take it back: crochet IS therapy. Especially when you have tens of thousands of ladies (and a few good gentlemen! 😉 ) with which to share the experience. Heart Hook Home Crochet Community truly is my “happy place”.

Have you ever turned the corner in the yarn aisle to see another fiber enthusiast perusing the craft store’s selection? Were you nervous to approach? Fearful of rejection? I bet you’ve been there, and I bet you found yourself wondering if you two may already be acquainted. Maybe from a crochet group on Facebook or other online forum? Perhaps! And wouldn’t it be AWESOME if we had a way of identifying ourselves?!

YARN FRIENDS FOR EVERYONE!!!

It started with automobile window decal (or slap it on a laptop, on the wall, or any other flat, smooth, clean surface) reminiscent of the Heart Hook Home website logo AND the Facebook page so that we can more easily recognize each other when we are out and about and possibly even on road trips!!! How awesome is that?!

We are fulfilling orders in-house. In fact, we hired our very own children! If you have watched the weekly LIVE videos on the Heart Hook Home Facebook page, you know that our 8 year old and 10 year old are crafty little guys. They can crochet, latch hook, sculpt with clay, and create with plastic canvas. These little entrepreneurs had so much fun helping that they asked if they could start their very own business. They made these decals 100% on their own!

The boys have been practicing using the machine and creating the decals (with strict supervision of course), and will earn good money for each and every decal ordered, completed, and shipped. By charging just enough to cover overhead and fees, we are hoping to keep these kids busy, busy, busy!

Decals will be available in two sizes: small and large. The smaller 4″ x 4″ decals of just the yarn ball (pictured right above) for $4.00 and the large 5.5″ x 5.5″ decals for $4.75. This includes shipping and a thank you note from them! Feel free to pre-order in our shop, we will begin fulfilling orders as soon as our raw material is delivered. When that happens, I will update this post with examples of the colors available.

We are also planning to also offer canvas tote bags and are entertaining the idea of yarn ball embellished coffee mugs and wine glasses as well! I can not wait! Thank you!
