July brings with it hot summer nights, firecrackers, the smell of the grill, and – a new set of washcloths? This NEW installment of the 2020 Crochet Cloth Series is a gorgeous one! The Trinith cloth features the Trinity Stitch, which makes for a remarkably easy-to-crochet washcloth. Let’s make a set with this free crochet pattern!

Trinity Cloth Pattern

I absolutely love the texture of these cloths. I tried to photograph them in a way that best displays the way that light plays off of the stitches, giving a gorgeous depth and a plush feel.

As always, these cloths are the same size as all other cloths in this series. Make them all and sew them together for an awesome blanket at the end of the year, or simply keep adding to your washcloth collection! These are an excellent way to really get familiar with a new stitch, all while creating something useful in the process.

If you hold the cloth at an angle, it almost looks like diamonds – like an optical illusion. Fabulous!

Cloth sizes:

5.5″ x 5.5″ – great for a face cloth or for showering

11″ x 11″ – average washcloth size

18″ x 12″ – dish drying mat, place mat, dusting cloth etc.

Materials:

Dishie Cotton (Ash colorway pictured)
-approx. 33 yards for small
-approx. 118 yards for medium
-approx. 225 yards for large

In order to make all three of these cloths, I used just less than two skeins of the Dishie cotton yarn.

  1. This is the first time I have seen a pattern for "cloths". I LOVE it!!! No more having to figure out how to change a wash cloth into a hand towel to make a bath set or ... Thank you for this unique approach that just made my life so much easier to fulfill requests from family.
