The Harvest Hoodie is a much loved, gorgeous crochet pattern for adults… and now we can make one for the entire family! New in sizes starting at 9/12 Month and ranging all the way through 12/14 Youth, grab your hook and let’s work up a child size hoodie!
Harvest Hoodie Child Sizes
The Harvest Hoodie is a comfortable, squishy crocheted hoodie that will have everyone wanting you to make them one. This style can be make in a solid color yarn to coordinate with everything, or a bright color to really stand out in the crowd.
As with most of my popular adult designs, I am offering the child sizes of this super chic pattern for free. Absolutely adorable in ALL of the sizes. 😻
Sizes available are: 9/12M, 18M, 2/3, 4/5T, 6/8, 10/12, and 12/14 youth.
I love the way this pattern is worked from the top-down. It helps to create a seamless design with minimal yarn ends to weave in.
For this hoodie pattern we are using a worsted weight yarn. I am using Brava Worsted in the “Almond” colorway. For the adult versions I have made one using Brava Tweed in “Wren”, Brava in “Hunter”, and Brava in “Asphalt Heather”.
One of my lovely testers made this gorgeous purple version for her daughter. I love that she so obviously loves it! ♥
I decided to use the Herringbone Half Double Crochet stitch for this hoodie because of how squishy it is. More interesting than the regular Half Double Crochet, but easy to learn and fun to do. The same for the adult sizes of the pattern, which can be found here.
Ready to get started? Let’s check gauge and hit the ground running.
I had been working on a video tutorial for this design, but I am not happy with the quality. I will be re-recording the video and will add that to this post as soon as it is ready. Thank you for your patience!
Grab the ad-free, printable version of this pattern on Ravelry, Etsy, or right here in the Heart Hook Home Blog Shop. Thank you!
