How easy is this summertime salad? I love the zing in the juices, so be sure to get a spoonful with each bite. If your homegrown cucumbers are on the bitter side the best way to remove that twang is by removing the skin. But, there is a trick to remove that bitterness from cucumbers without peeling the entire thing.

  1. Ash can you or someone please tell me why sugar is added? I have seen sugar in many coleslaw recipes and similar. I usually omit and seriously don't miss it...I think. As someone who has to cut back on sugars, I at times avoid a recipe. thanks
  2. Ashlea, I crocheted your "egg apron" pattern for a gift & it was really a hit! I enjoy your sight so very much. Just finished crocheting a bedspread so ready for another project. Also, thank you for your "helpful hints". I hope you & your family are doing well.
