Pique-A-Boo Blanket

When asked if I would design a brand new pattern for a brand NEW yarn line from WeCrochet… of course I said yes. This new Heatherly yarn is available in DK weight (size 3) and worsted weight (size 4). I decided to use the worsted weight for this, and in four different colors. I can not tell you how much I love this new yarn. The way it works up, and the way these colors compliment each other so well. It is so very gorgeous!

The Pique-A-Boo blanket is a play on words for Peek-A-Boo because we are using the Pique stitch to crochet it – and for babies, of course. These colors are muted in the most wonderful way. I just adore the feel and drape of this yarn.

  1. I love this blanket but am so confused. Is the “corner “ actually the corner of the previous pique or the corner chain three space? I can’t find a video. My work doesn’t look like the pictures so obviously I’m doing something wrong! Help!
  2. I absolutely love the new blanket! Can you modify it to be just a bit shorter? The colors are great together. Thank you Ashley for all the great patterns!!
    1. Hi Betsy! Since this blanket is worked like a giant granny square, you can stop crocheting rows when you are happy with the size.
  3. I love afghans crocheted in the round! Hadnt heard of the Pique stitch, and with your instructions it was very easy to learn. I now have my next throw pattetn! Thank you, Ashlea!
