If you’re looking for a great, bite sized crochet project to work on as you can, these Flower Hexis are for you! Make as many as you like and compile them into a blanket, or make two and seam them to make a throw pillow, or use several to make a bag. Let’s make some Flower Hexis!

Flower Hexi Crochet Pattern
These Flower Hexis are made using a variety of colors of Herrschners Afghan yarn, a size 2 acrylic yarn that makes for a gorgeous lightweight blanket. Perfect for a summer throw, especially with the fabulous flowers and colors. I am using a lovely cream color for the main portion of the hexagon and 7 different colors pulled randomly.

I will be using my Flower Hexis to assemble into a blanket. I plan to use the slip stitch method to attach them. If you made 16 of them they would make a great baby blanket size blanket, but I am seaming 48 of them. Since they are all about 9″ wide as the pattern is written, that means my blanket will end up 6 hexis x 8 hexis which before adding the border is 54″ x 72″.
You can use a different yarn to make your Flower Hexis, but keep in mind that they will come out a different size than the pattern has listed. Of course, once you get to the cream/main color yarn you could stop increasing at any point, or continue growing the hexagon until it is as large as it needs to be.
