A pattern I have been wanting to design for months now? Crochet Pajama Pants. These crochet comfy pants are soft, cozy, and comfortable, and the pattern is easy to follow, too!

Classic, straight leg jammies that are worked with VERTICAL rows instead of horizontal. I knew it would be a challenge but I am IN LOVE with the way these turned out! ♥ My favorite part?! There is absolutely NO SEWING INVOLVED!!

Crocheted pajama pants

In my first attempt at crocheted pajama pants I worked the rows horizontally. While horizontally worked jammie pants are certainly much easier/faster to design, horizontal rows are simply not flattering on any body type – especially when displayed across the widest part of your body.

I knew perfecting a vertical row pants pattern and then sizing the pattern would be a challenge, and it is true that at times I wanted to give up. But, thanks to my super amazing testers and countless hours of crocheting, we have finally arrived at what I’m calling the Not Your Granny’s Jammies pajama pant crochet pattern!

Note that you *could* add elastic to the waistband. Instructions for doing so are included in the pattern. I did this with the Painted Canyon version because this yarn is physically heavier than the Bernat Tiny or the Red Heart Cutie Pie (now discontinued) and I wanted the extra support. The white drawstring on this version is for show only.

  1. Would it be possible to get a 5xl or 6xl size pattern for these? Want to make matching ones for family Christmas and it's nearly impossible to get patterns in those bigger sizes. And I love your patterns, have several of them. Thank you.
  2. Hi I just love those crochet pajama pants. Would someone be willing to make me a pair? Name the price and ill pay. Please let me know, thank you so much! <3Laura

    1. Hi Heather! I hope you have received the pattern now...it should be in your ravelry library and you should have also received an email with the download link. If you have not gotten it yet, please e-mail me through the contact tab and we can get it sorted out.
  4. The Jammies are cute, but I just HAD to leave a comment on your adorable little Yorkie, she is so precious ... she looks like my baby girl who we lost in July … I miss her so very much. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
  5. Sorry if this is rude but what is the size you made for yourself? I usually make large but the medium in your shawl good was what ended up fitting me so was wondering if this would be the same way with these?
    1. Hi Ashley I am plotting out a pair of these beauties. Has the 3X size been actual made? I notice the other sizes have shaping but I don’t see any for mine. Keep up making just plain awesome designs!
      1. Following, curious about this same thing. Also curious on how they fit. I am plus size with curve in all the "other places" and love my body. I have carpel tunnel and tendonitis in both wrists and afraid to start only to make it worse. I may buy some from someone who makes them but would really like and outside opinion and if possible pictures. Tia.
