Infant Bomber Cardi Crochet Pattern (12 month)

If you have a little lady that needs a cute little cardigan, this free pattern is for you! Whip up a 12 month size of the Bomber Cardi. If you’re needing more of an 18 month size, I recommend using a smaller hook with the 2/3T pattern as this design is already (and intentionally) on the small side.

BOMBER CARDI FOR KIDS

Add a zipper to your cardigan, or a hook and eye closure at the top. This cardigan is a bomber style, meaning that it is shorter than average and it runs a bit on the small side. This is all intentional. Please look at the sizing chart to determine which size your little one needs.

Bomber Cardi Sizing Guide

Note that if you would like to make this a bit smaller (for 6 – 9 months), you could either go down a hook size or go down a hook size AND/OR use a thinner weight yarn. Alternatively, you could make it a bit larger by going up a hook size. This pattern uses Red Heart Soft yarn which is a soft, worsted weight, size 4 yarn.

  1. It’s very hard to use this website. It keeps jumping around and sending me all the way to the bottom of the page. I can’t read the pattern with the page jumping around like that. I had to take screenshots.
  2. I am thinking of using variegated yarn for this. I love using the variegated because you can make 2 of the same colors and they will all tur out different. And i am always looking for some different patterns for infant to child patterns. thanks for sharing.
      1. Pattern is on Ravelry. Her patterns are NOT pricey. She has GREAT patterns for every age and style. they use pay pal and I don't. I will be looking for her patterns on ETSY. I will buy the "COZY COED CARDIGAN" for my son-in-law birthday gift.
    1. Hi! I have all of the kids sizes available in an ad-free printable version on Ravelry for a small fee which can be found here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bomber-cardigans-for-kids
  3. Looks lovely, can't wait to make it. How can I print it? I crochet in the evenings whilst watching tv so can't use my laptop then.
    1. Hi Charmaine! No, there is not a 6/9 month pattern. I would probably do the 12 month pattern unless your baby is really petite.
  4. Thanks for explaining so beautifully, can't wait to start working on my very own something to crochet so excited
