Can you believe it is already time for the eleventh cloth in the 2020 Cloth Series?! For this cloth pattern we are using post stitches and arranging them in a way that look like beautiful little diamonds. That’s right, we’re using the Diamond Stitch! I love that we’ve got a gorgeous cloth to clean with that is also scrubby.
Diamond Cloth
The Diamond Stitch is a fun and quick to work up stitch that is so gorgeous. The raised post stitches give great dimension to the cloths making them great for scrubbing kitchen counters, windows, or dusting the bookcases. All of the cloths in this 2020 cloth series are designed to be the same size.
Cloth sizes:
5.5″ x 5.5″ – great for a face cloth or for showering
11″ x 11″ – average washcloth size
18″ x 12″ – dish drying mat, place mat, dusting cloth etc.
Materials:
Dishie Cotton (Begonia colorway pictured)
-approx. 42 yards for small
-approx. 168 yards for medium
-approx. 292 yards for large
In order to make all three of these cloths, I used about two and a half skeins of the Dishie cotton yarn.
Crochet hook in size H/5mm
Gauge: 15 sts x 12 rows (measured on the “wrong/flat side”)
Pattern Notes:
Pattern written using US terms.
The turning chain(s) do not count as a stitch.
